Our Partnership with BNU
CAST Studio delivers the degree in partnership with Buckinghamshire New University, connecting specialist performance training with university-level study.
Performance and Creative Practice
Production work brings the disciplines together. Students develop collaboration and adaptability through progressively demanding projects, culminating in a final-year public performance. Intensive rehearsal periods introduce the working rhythms of professional production.
Thinking Through Performance
Academic study examines musical theatre’s development and cultural contexts. Students learn to analyse repertoire and evaluate their own practice alongside their practical training.
Professional Development
Preparing for professional life requires students to understand both their craft and how to communicate what they offer.
At CAST Studio, professional development encourages students to build industry awareness, approach audition preparation with purpose and develop the practical tools needed to present themselves professionally.
Our team brings experience across performance, education and creative production, helping students connect their training with the expectations of the working industry.
Supporting Individual Development
We recognise that students bring different strengths, experiences and learning needs to their training.
Our approach combines clear academic and professional expectations with attention to individual development. Students are encouraged to discuss support needs with the College so that appropriate guidance and arrangements can be considered.
Training in East Anglia
Our Bury St Edmunds setting offers a base for focused study, with a professional outlook shaped by practitioners whose careers extend across the UK and beyond.
Students are encouraged to develop ambition alongside independence: to take responsibility for their preparation, contribute to a creative community and recognise the value of their individual perspective.
