Professional Musical Theatre Training in the Heart of East Anglia
CAST Studio is East Anglia’s only specialist drama school dedicated to professional musical theatre degree training. Based in Bury St Edmunds, we bring the ambition and professional focus associated with London theatre training to the region.
Our BA (Hons) Musical Theatre, delivered in partnership with Buckinghamshire New University (BNU), brings together artistic development, academic study and preparation for professional life.
High expectations, individual development and professional purpose shape our approach, supporting emerging performers as they strengthen their craft and define their direction.
Develop Your Craft. Define Your Direction.
Our musical theatre degree places acting, singing and dance within a wider framework of creative practice and professional development.
Students are encouraged to make connections across disciplines, approach their work with curiosity and commitment, and develop their individual identity as performers.
An Education That Takes Individuality Seriously.
At CAST Studio, we believe rigorous training and personal development belong together.
We value individual perspective, encourage creative ownership and expect a professional approach to learning and collaboration. Our ambition is to help students become assured, thoughtful and adaptable artists who understand both their strengths and their responsibilities.
Experience That Informs the Training.
Our team brings together experience across musical theatre, music, education, creative production, television and professional development.
This breadth of expertise informs the College’s approach and helps students connect their learning with the expectations of professional life.
